SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, PA - One person has died after a traffic collision that closed U.S. Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township between Route 388 and Route 19.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday a car drove into the path of a pick up truck causing a head on collision. The driver of the car was ejected from the vehicle and later died.

The driver of the truck remains in critical condition.  

Pennsylvania State Police shut down the stretch of road way between routes 388 and 19 while they investigating the crash .
