Keeler says a multivitamin usually does the trick for most healthy people.

"Unless there is a specific health issue, for most healthy adults and children, the multivitamin will suffice," said Keeler.

While the labels may be a bit daunting for some, Keeler says ingredients found in multivitamins are things that are found in the foods people eat.

"Well the B vitamins help boost our energy and helps promote our nervous system and helps boost our energy. Vitamin C in important to our immune system and vitamins A and E are also antioxidants that help promote that," said Keeler.

Keeler says most vitamins won't interact with other drugs.  However, she encourages people to check first with their pharmacist or doctor.
