Liberty Schools showcase after school programs

The Liberty Local School District, along with Youngstown State University and the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley hosted an evening of fun to honor the "after school" kids. LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - The Liberty Local School District, along with Youngstown State University and the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley hosted an evening of fun to honor the "after school" kids.

YSU and United Way help to provide after school services for about 100 Liberty students from kindergarten to 6th grade.

Friday night, the students were honored at the Liberty varsity basketball game.

The students enjoyed an afternoon of activities and meals before heading to the game.

The programs help students with their homework and provides them with field trip opportunities.
