LORDSTOWN, Ohio - The Bernie Sanders campaign says people who want to see and hear the Democratic presidential candidate will be admitted to Sunday's town hall in Lordstown on a first come, first served basis.
The event at Lordstown High School is free and open to the public. Tickets aren't required, but those wishing to attend are encouraged to RSVP here.
Doors open for the Sunday, April 14, 2019 event open at 12:30. The event is scheduled to get underway at 1 pm at the high school, 1824 Salt Springs Rd, Lordstown, Ohio.
Senator Sanders is to appear with American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten to discuss the future of Lorstown in what is being billed as a “Union Town Hall.”
Members of the AFT-affiliated Lordstown Teachers Association are slated to talk abut how General Motors' Lordstown plant closure is hurting the community-and “how to fight back”.
Last month, GM shuttered its Lordstown plant, which manufactured the Chevy Cruze, leaving 1,400 workers out of jobs after years of shift cutbacks.
