Youngstown City Police were notified of an alleged shooting at Harding Elementary School and responded to the call late Tuesday afternoon.

Thankfully, the call was not real.

Stacy Quinones told 21 News that the police received a prank call, and there was no threat to the school or the students within the school.

According to the police report, a call to 911 was received at 3:47 pm on Tuesday, alleging a school shooting was taking place and people needed help.

The report said the voice on the 911 call sounded like a small child.

Officials told police that everything appeared to be normal and were unaware of the call.

The school was put into lockdown as a precaution while police searched the building.

"We appreciate law enforcement's response in ensuring safety for everyone," Quinones said.
