A former Boardman Chiropractor serving 43 years in prison appeals his conviction on sex crimes, hoping for a new trial.

Gregory Dew was convicted of raping teenage girls while coaching gymnastics and of sexually abusing patients as a chiropractor.

His attorney went before the 7th District Court of Appeals arguing that a taped phone conversation where Dew made admissions was illegal.

Prosecutors say there's no basis for the argument and there was other evidence to show Dew was guilty.

Dew's attorney also argues the prosecution failed to show evidence of force or threat.
