YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- Youngstown has a new public access television station that operators hope will serve as a "conduit for the people."

Joe Perkins, executive director of PTV, said anyone in the Valley can submit have at least one video that they submit broadcast.

The station is a cable access station, unregulated by the Federal Communications Commission, meaning all content is uncensored.

"Whatever comes through, we pass it through. We really don't review it. All we do is digitize and play it," Perkins said.

So far, most of the content has come from churches, schools, musicians and local governments.

PTV is located on Time Warner channels 9 in Youngstown and 15 in Warren and is also available online at www.onlineptv.com.
