WARREN, Ohio - Four people are criminally charged after state and local authorities search a Warren bowling alley in an illegal gambling investigation.

On Thursday, agents and officers in Warren searched the Freeway Lanes Bowling Group on Parkman Road after receiving complaints of illegal gambling. Another location on Southern Boulevard was also searched.

Forty-nine-year-old David Platz of Garfield Heights and 44-year-old Glenn Gable of Shaker Heights near Cleveland were charged with operating a gambling house. Thirty-six-year-old Steven Scarpaci of Niles and 29-year-old Kelly Sylvester were both charged with operating gambling tip tickets or machines.

Items seized during the search include 20 gambling machines, gambling paraphernalia, documents, and more than five thousand dollars.
