Kraftmaid announces layoffs

MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio - Some people who work at plants in Ashtabula and Geauga Counties got some bad news.

MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio - Some people who work at plants in Ashtabula and Geauga Counties got some bad news.

Kraftmaid says it is laying off 145 workers at three plants in Middlefield and Orwell as of November First.

A spokesperson for the cabinet maker says the layoffs are indefinite until conditions for the construction industry improves.
