WARREN, Ohio- Seven Warren firefighters were honored Friday morning for their actions during a fatal fire in 2009.

Captain Jeffery Younkins, Lieutenant Alfred Brown, Lieutenant Shawn Peura, Lieutenant Ray Theodore, Jr. and firefighters Nick Radich, Marc Titus and Ed Dowell were honored by the state fire marshal's office for their attempts to save three women and a Warren police officer from the fire at 368 Bonnie Brae.

Police officer Doug Hipple was seriously injured in the fire and one of the women later died of her injuries.
