EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - East Liverpool will soon collect a multi-million dollar payment following a five year legal battle.

In 2005, The Buckeye Water District decided to stop purchasing water from East Liverpool claiming the water was substandard. The breach of a 30 year agreement ended up in appeals court where judges ordered the Buckeye Water District to pay 4-point-8 million dollars for breaking the contract.

The Ohio supreme court has declined to hear any further appeals on the issue.
