YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Forum Health system has a new name.

Community Health Systems, which bought the bankrupt Forum Health, has adopted Valley Care Health Systems as its new name.

Community Health officials say the name represents the geographic region served by the hospitals and a shared commitment to quality care. "We kept coming back to Valley Care as truly representing where we work, where we deliver care and ultimately it was a very easy process to find endorsement by all the boards as a common ground," said David Fikse, CEO of Northside Medical Center and Forum Health.

While the system gets a new name, the three main hospitals, Northside, Trumbull Memorial and Hillside, will keep their individual names.
