YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The man accused of raping and murdering a Youngstown State University student back in 1985 is fighting his death sentence.

Attorneys for Bennie Adams went to the appeals court this Wednesday morning arguing that there were several constitutional violations during the trial, including problems with jury selection.

Adams killed his neighbor, 19-year-old Gina Tenney in 1985.

It could take the court months to rule on the appeal.
