YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Arrest warrants were issued for a 9th suspect associated with hazing by a Youngstown State University fraternity.

Twenty-year-old Resean Yancey and 22-year-old Breylon Stubbs were beaten so badly during a group initiation right for the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity that both young men eventually had to go to the hospital. One of them sought medical attention twice. The other was actually placed on a ventilator.

The incidents happened off-campus at a home in the 900 block of Woodford Avenue in the city of Youngstown.

Youngstown City Prosecutor Jay Macejko tells 21 News, "During the initiation rite both victims reported that they were struck with objects, including a paddle, fists and wire hangers. During the initiation ritual the victims also had to repeat certain sayings as part of the Kappa Alpha Psi initiation."

On Thursday afternoon the prosecutor signed arrest warrants for a ninth suspect on two counts of felonious assault, a crime punishable by two to eight years in prison.

Macejko says, "We just issued two felonious assault arrest warrants for Raheem Sattrthwaite. He does have a local address; however it does appear that he is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania."

Also charged with two counts of felonious assault; 27-year-old, Jason Anderson of Illinois Avenue; 21-year-old, Trey McCune of Ohio Avenue; 28-year-old Edward Robertson of Catalina Avenue; 28-year-old, Jerome Justice of Tremble Avenue in Campbell; 28-year-old, Michael Charles of Illinois Avenue; 32-year-old, Jairus Ford of Greeley Lane; 25-year-old, Lavell Sharp of Illinois Avenue and 24-year-old, Wade Hampton of Deer Creek Court in Austintown.

At least four of the nine suspects are expected to turn themselves in and face a judge on Friday in Youngstown Municipal Court.

What makes this case so unusual is that eight of the nine suspects are not college students, and range in age from 24 to 32.

One suspect is a teacher that could lose his license if convicted of the charges, and another is a supervisor at a major corporation.

The prosecutor says, "We believe that others were present during this hazing ritual however, their involvement still remains under investigation. Also we would ask that if there are any other victims out there that they contact the Youngstown Police Department."

YSU has suspended the Kappa Alpha Psi chapter pending an investigation, and the national chapter says they want to clarify that Trey McCune is the only active YSU student and only member in good standing.

Authorities say if the suspects don't turn themselves in, police will be ordered to arrest them.
