Ohio teen's Craigslist murder case: No verdict yet
AKRON, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio jury has deliberated for a third day without reaching a verdict in the case of a teenager accused of participating in the slayings of 3 men lured by phony Craigslist job offers.
The 12-member jury in Akron deliberated again Monday and must return Tuesday.
Prosecutors have portrayed defendant Brogan Rafferty as a willing accomplice in the crimes. His defense attorney says Rafferty was fearful for his life if he didn't participate.
His co-defendant has pleaded not guilty and will be tried later.
The 17-year-old Rafferty faces life in prison without chance of parole if convicted of aggravated murder in the shooting deaths last year.
One man was killed near Akron and two more in rural eastern Ohio. A fourth man was shot and survived.
