BOARDMAN, Ohio - A car crashed through the front window of the post office in the Boardman Plaza Thursday shortly before noon.
While trying to brake, Patricia L. Minteer, 74, of Columbiana, accidentally accelerated in her Chevrolet Cavalier and drove into the building shattering glass and displacing the brick wall.
Crews on the scene reported that the damage done to the building does not appear to be structural.
There are no reported injuries from the incident, and police say considering the time of day, and where the vehicle landed, it's fortunate that no one was hurt.
The driver appeared shaken up, but refused medical treatment.
Boardman Police have cited Minteer for operation without reasonable control.
The post office is closed until further notice.
