WARREN, Ohio - The city takes in at least 30,000 prescription drugs by Operation Empty Medicine Cabinet.
The program, put on by the Trumbull-Geauga Solid Waste Management, gave people an opportunity to safely dispose of unused prescription drugs.
Prescription drugs are often stolen and can lead to overdoses.
The tranqualizers, antibiotics and chemicals can also end up in the water supply and into the drinking water if they are disposed of down a drain.
