YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A piece of art larger than life is almost finished for commuters to enjoy as they travel into downtown Youngstown.

Community Corrections Association has hired an artist by the name of Christian Mrosko to create a mural off of Market Street near the bridge. He's the same artist who painted the mural near Youngstown Playhouse and he's working about eight hours a day to capture the city's urban street theme brick by brick.

The painting is part of the finishing touches in the Market Street Improvement Project under the current CEO's watch.

"This was the final piece of that project, it's kind of like a signature to all the work we've done over the years," Richard Billak said, CCA CEO.

Since 1996, the CCA's Market Street Improvement Project has helped to demolish 45 blighted buildings and homes and has replace some with landscaped green space.

The mural stretches 70 feet wide and almost 30 feet tall and is expected to be finished by the end of the month.
