BOARDMAN, Ohio - A local Amish community market is opening its doors with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

The Valley Marketplace has more than 30 vendors selling homemade goods such as baked breads, pies and other desserts. Meat, cheese and produce is also available.

Most of the Market's goods will come from Lancaster, Pa. and are derived from traditional Pennsylvania Dutch recipes.

The ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by the Regional Chamber and owners Ron and Marianna Cohen, will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at 6121 South Avenue.

Grand opening festivities begin on Thursday at 9 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
