Youngstown Rescue Mission celebrates woman's success story

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley celebrated the graduation of a local woman from the Mission's Discipleship Academy.
Susan Jarvis enrolled in the Academy's program in November 2012, and participated in service projects around the Mission and community.
She also completed a final project, which required elements including a mock job interview and writing a personal testimony.
"That's the way we address it, one at a time. And if one at a time is good enough for god to dance joyfully in front of the angels of heaven, why ought not we be grateful enough to see one at a time come through?" said Jim Echement, CFRE Executive Director.
Jarvis has been employed by the Mission as a part-time Family Services Client Advisor. She will also begin part-time work at Goodwill Industries, and hopes to attend YSU to become a registered nurse.
