YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The discovery of human remains on Youngstown's east side nine months ago has resulted in murder charges.

The Mahoning County grand jury on Thursday indicted 22-year-old Kevon Williams on charges of murder, abusing a corpse and felonious assault.

Investigators say Williams is responsible for the death of David Jackson, whose skull was discovered by a dog on Vaughn Avenue on February 16.

The indictment indicates that Jackson was shot to death, and then allegedly tried to conceal the victim's body.

Dental records were used to confirm Jackson's identity.

Jackson's girlfriend reported him missing in December of last year.
