Man shoots way into Ohio home then kills himself

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (AP) - Police in northeastern Ohio say a 22-year-old man shot his way into an ex-girlfriend's house then killed himself in the basement as officers closed in.
It happened Sunday night in Cuyahoga Falls, north of Akron.
Police responded to the home after Robert Mann shot out a door to get into his former girlfriend's house. Officers were already looking for Mann because he'd made threats earlier in the evening to kill his mother and the ex-girlfriend.
Mann, of nearby Rittman, was found hiding in the basement. When he was confronted by officers, he shot himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Officers found that Mann had an assault rifle, 9mm handgun, more than 140 rounds of ammunition and cable ties.
