NEW SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - After five decades, the family-owned Hummel Gift Shop in New Springfield is closing its doors forever on Saturday.

The store has attracted collectors and gift shoppers from far and wide, and gained national recognition.

Owners David and Frances May are retiring. "We're getting ready to retire, but at the same time we've built a lot of good relationships with people and our products, so it's going to be a sad time," Frances said.

Everything left in their 40,000 square foot showroom will be at least 75 percent off. They will open Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. and then close for good at noon.
