WARREN, Ohio - The Trumbull County Grand Jury has secretly indicted a 20-year-old Warren man for the hit and run death of a Howland woman.
Patrick Niess is free on $2,500 bond after pleading not guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide on Wednesday.
Niess is charged in connection with the December death of 55-year-old Antoinette Ross, whose body was found in a drainage ditch along King Graves Road.
Ross previously worked as a nurse at Howland Glen Elementary School and lived about one mile away from the crash site.
Investigators say she was killed instantly upon impact.
