GIRARD, Ohio - Bond is set at $75,000 for the man suspected of robbing a Girard bank.

42-year-old Robert T. Naples pleaded not guilty to a charge of robbery when he was arraigned via video in Girard Municipal Court on Monday.

Naples is accused of robbing the Charter One Bank on State Street around 11:00 a.m. Saturday.

Detectives say the suspect told the bank teller he had a gun and wanted all of the hundreds and fifties.

Police got a lead on the  crime when a man fitting the description of the robber stopped by the Jib Jab Hot Dog Shoppe where he asked about the bus schedule.

Several police departments pursued the suspect until Liberty Police arrested Naples on Interstate 80.

Naples is due back in court on May 7.
