Bishop George V. Murry and Dr. Nicholas Wolsonovich, Superintendent of Schools, will discuss the results of the Campaign for Cardinal Mooney High School and the  future of the school.

Dr. Wolsonovich told 21 News last week that he expects to receive an update on the fund raising campaign to build a new state of the art school in southern Mahoning County.

The Diocese has been investigating the purchase of three separate locations on, or in close proximity of Western Reserve Road between Market Street and Tippecanoe Road.

Catholic School Management, a professional consulting firm is assisting Cardinal Mooney study and plan the proposed new school.

According to an earlier statement from the Diocese, as long as the initial campaign raised $23 million by the end of April, construction of a new high school would proceed.

The Bishop announced in July, that the high school would stay at it's current location on the city's south side, but after learning about the possible cost of removing asbestos from the existing building, officials reversed their decision.
