STRUTHERS, Ohio - Struthers police and BCI agents arrested Christopher George, 44 at the Ohio State Penitentiary Wednesday afternoon, just seven days after the victim's parents filed a police report.

The Super max prison guard is charged with three felony charges of unlawful sexual conduct involving a minor.

"The parents of the victim reported it to us on September 10th after they were advised," said Detective Jeffery Lewis, with the Struthers Police Department.

According to the police report, George was allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl since July 20.

Agents with the Attorney General's Crimes Against Children Unit are working together with Struthers Police in this on-going investigation.

"They have a lot of resources, especially for a smaller department like ours. It frees up a lot of our time and they have equipment and technology that we would never have access to here," explained Lewis.

The state agents obtained electronic communications between George and his victim that allowed him to establish a feeling of trust from the girl.

Lewis said, "There's so many different apps. Different avenues of communications. They can text and chat on online games. There's snap-chat, kick and a lot of that was going on in this case. And they were a big help in monitoring that and helping us to obtain those records."

Lewis added that George made an unsuccessful attempt with another girl and believes there could be other victims in this case.

Christopher George is in the Mahoning County Jail, awaiting a Friday morning arraignment in Struthers court.

The Mahoning County Sheriff's Office also assisted with the investigation.
