Police presence increased at Mineral Ridge High School

WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio - Weathersfield police were at Mineral Ridge High School Monday morning following a reported threat allegedly made by a student.
Superintendent Damon Dohar did not reveal details of the alleged threat, but told 21 News that he expects to wrap up the investigation into the incident soon.
Dohar says he doesn't know if the student will face charges, but the school plans to enforce disciplinary procedures as required.
"There was only one student involved in the situation and one student only. It was an isolated event," said Dohar.
Police were at the school Monday morning and planned to be there during lunch to show an increased presence of safety.
The schools are not identifying the student.
Dohar says students were not at risk at any time.
