WARREN, Ohio - A judge awarded a Warren couple $28.7 million dollars in a medical malpractice lawsuit filed after the birth of their son.

According to our print partner, The Vindicator, Jennifer and Matthew Wolcott claim a registered nurse at Trumbull Memorial Hospital was negligent while treating their son following his birth in 2010.

According to court documents, the child was deprived of oxygen during labor and now suffers from cerebral palsy.

The judgment came out of Judge Peter Kontos' court.
