YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Authorities have released the name of a man killed in a traffic accident on the East Side of Youngstown earlier this week.

The Mahoning County Coroner's office says that 97-year-old Allen Robinson of Youngstown died from blunt force injuries when the car he was driving veered off Jacobs road and crashed into an electrical tower on Monday.

Authorities originally speculated that Robinson may have suffered from a medical issue that caused his death. However, the coroner says that there is no evidence that drugs, alcohol, or a cardiovascular event played a part in causing the accident.

Robinson was not wearing a seat belt.

94-year-old Mary Robinson, the wife of the victim, was a passenger in the car. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.
