YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Concerns over a possible gas leak prompted the cancellation for all of Wednesday's hearings at the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center.

People who were in one portion of the JJC were instructed to move to another part of the building around 9:00 am Wednesday after the odor of natural gas was detected.

The building was closed while the gas company and first responders investigated.

After a nearly hour long search by gas company inspectors and the Youngstown Fire Department, the source of the odor could not be found. Investigators speculate that the smell may have come from outside of the building.

JJC is expected reopen for court business Thursday morning.
