NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - Newton Falls Police are investigating a reported burglary where the intruder apparently made himself or herself feel at home.

The couple living on Mahoning Court tell police that they returned home on Monday to find the front door open and the house ransacked.

Police later determined that someone had pried open the side door of the house, and according to the police report, “ Whomever made entry to the home was comfortable while they were there.”

The report says it was apparent that the burglar took time to smoke some cigarettes, make a pot of coffee, and feed the family dog some bologna.

The homeowner reported that several items were missing including prescription medicines, a Sony PlayStation, five games, a DVD player and fifty movies.  He's taking inventory to determine if anything else was stolen.

The resident gave police the name of a possible suspect. Officers are investigating.
