Radio Shack closing stores in Warren and Niles,Ohio and Greenville and New Castle, PA

NILES, Ohio - Four Radio Shack stores in the valley are set to close no later than the end of March as part of the electronics retailers bankruptcy plan.
According to filings in bankruptcy court, stores inside the Eastwood Mall, the Union Square New Castle store, and the Hempfield Township store on Williamson Road in Mercer County will close by February 28.
The Parkman Road store in Warren will close by March 31.
An agreement with a consulting firm says that enough employees will be kept on hand to conduct closing operations.
The stores are on a list of 1,783 stores being closed nationwide.
As part of the chapter 11 bankruptcy plan, Radio Shack's largest corporate shareholder has agreed to buy between 1,500 and 2,400 of the stores.
Sprint may open what are called "minishops" in some of the stores.
Not appearing on the latest list of closings are stores in Calcutta, Lisbon, Columbiana, Boardman, Canfield, Austintown, Liberty, Howland, and Hermitage.
