Cocca's Pizza donates $25,000 to Boardman Stadium project

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A 1992 Boardman High School graduate who has become a successful Valley businessman is giving back to his alma mater.
Steve Cocca, the owner of Cocca's Pizza, is contributing $25,000 to the Boardman Stadium Project.
The first Cocca's Pizza opened in Boardman in 1982 and has since grown to six locations. The donation will be noted on the new stadium scoreboard.
Earlier this week Refresh Dental donated $40,000 toward the building of a ticket booth at the new stadium which is to open in the fall of 2015.
Ground was broken last Spring on the $4 million stadium construction project.
The facility will have seating for nearly 7,000 people, an electronic digital scoreboard, visiting team locker room, concession stand and enclosed press box.
The stadium also features all-weather artificial turf, a first for Boardman.
