CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Poland man awaits sentencing for a second time on federal pornography charges.

On Wednesday, 53-year-old Trent Shepard withdrew an earlier not guilty plea and pleaded guilty to all four counts of an indictment alleging that he received files containing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Federal prosecutors say Shepard collected one thousand pornographic images and videos on his computers over a period of four and a half years.

Shepard has been in federal custody since 2011 when he was first sentenced to 14 years in prison after being convicted of three counts of receiving, and one count of attempting to receive visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

A federal appeals court threw out that earlier conviction and ordered a new trial for Shepard, because the judge failed to dismiss a juror who admitted that he was repulsed by the graphic images presented as evidence in the trial.

Instead of going on trial, Shepard pleaded guilty to the indictment without the benefit of reaching a plea agreement.

Shepard will be brought back to U.S. District Court in Cleveland on June 26 for sentencing.
