A helicopter on a specialized mission is in the air over Trumbull county.
This chopper, literality chops it's way through tree limbs along the corridor of power transmission lines. It's called an aerial saw.
"It's 136 feet long and hangs underneath the helicopter, it's got 10 blades that are 25 inches in diameter with carbon tipped teeth that can cut through pretty much anything," said Joshua Bohlander from the company Aerial Solutions.
First Energy says the aerial saw is more efficient and covers a lot more ground than having workers going tree to tree on the ground.
