HUBBARD, Ohio - A dedication ceremony was held in Hubbard to unveil a new monument.
The ceremony held Wednesday afternoon as a part of National Police Memorial Week.
The monument was made to honor all the men and women who served for the police department since it began in 1801.
Hubbard Police Chief, James Taffe said, “City government, city police chaplains and the city police department worked together to secure private funding for the monument not a penny of taxpayer money was used. As a matter of fact, all of the overages are going to the food banks locally. So we're very proud of that”.
Location of the monument is adjacent to the Hubbard city police station.
