Employee struck in Sam's Club parking lot

WARREN, Ohio - Warren police are searching for a driver who they say hit a Sam's Club employee in the store's rear parking lot.
It happened just before midnight Wednesday. A Sam's Club employee noticed someone suspicious in the back parking lot. The employee told police it the person was sifting through the store's crates and storage containers.
When the employee called for a manager, the suspect jumped into his truck to take off. The employee says the truck struck him while fleeing the area. That same gray GMC pickup truck was later taken to May's towing.
The employee suffered minor injuries and told 21 News he's doing okay.
Sam's Club tells 21 News they're cooperating with authorities to track down the suspect. Police say store surveillance video could lend some clues.
