American Pickers may film in the Valley

Another reality TV show may soon be making its way to the Valley.
With Bar Rescue wrapping up its production at Youngstown's Royal Oaks, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz of American Pickers are coming to Ohio in early October to look for interesting people and items to feature on their show.
Both the Salem and Columbiana Chambers of Commerce have been notified that the show is interested in their areas.
American Pickers, which has aired more than 160 episodes on the History Channel, follows the pair as they hunt for unique antiques. The show says it aims to both restore old relics and teach about the country's history.
Items that Wolfe and Fritz look for include vintage bicycles, toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising, military items, folk art, vintage musical equipment, vintage automotive items, early firefighting equipment, vintage clothing, and pre-50’s western gear.
The Pickers also say that they are not currently interested in farming/agriculture items, glassware, appliances, tractors, crocks, stoves, or country primitives.
The show only travels to private collections. Therefore, no stores, malls, flea markets, auctions, or businesses will be featured.
Anyone who thinks they are right for the show should send an email to americanpickers@cineflix.com or leave a message at 1-855-OLD-RUST (1-855-653-7878). All communications need to include the contacting person's name, phone number, and item description
