BAZETTA TWP., Ohio - Nearly three years after making the announcement that is was coming here, Menards says that it is finally ready to open its first store in the Valley.

The Menards Mega Store is scheduled to open for business at 2015 Walmart Drive in Bazetta Township on Tuesday, August 25.

Menards, which sells a variety of tools, lumber, and building materials, operates 286 stores in 14 states, including Ohio.

This will be the easternmost location for a Menard’s store, which officials say will be a state-of-the-art retail facility.

A job fair was held at the facility in April seeking 200 full and part-time employees.

The family-owned company, which started in 1958, is based in Wisconsin.

Menards says that a Grand Opening celebration will be held at a later date and will include special deals on merchandise, prize giveaways, in-store demonstrations and celebrity appearances.
