ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. - Authorities in Lawrence County say a standoff is over at an Ellwood City home.

Police and fire crews responded to a call in the 200 block of Patricia Drive just after 6 p.m. Tuesday where a man who had a warrant out for his arrest held police at bay. 

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested after State Police and a Special Emergency Response Team arrived on the scene.

 During the incident, authorities directed traffic away from the area near Mt. Vernon Drive and State Route 65. 

The suspect was wanted for failing to make a court appearance.
