Suspect charged for Youngstown hammer attack
A Michigan man faces charges for allegedly forcing his way into a home and attacking a woman with a hammer.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Michigan man faces charges for allegedly forcing his way into a home and attacking a woman with a hammer.
The Mahoning County grand jury indicted Timothy Leshon Smith, 36, on Thursday for aggravated burglary, kidnapping and two counts of felonious assault.
Police say Smith broke into a home on Bott Street and attacked two women. One of the alleged victims is Smith's aunt.
Smith was arrested by U.S. Marshalls at the WRTA bus station in downtown Youngstown on Dec. 27.
Two juveniles were in the home at the time of the invasion and called 911. They were not hurt.
Investigators say Smith was visiting the area for the holiday.
