Bernie Sanders campaign headquarters open in Niles

NILES, Ohio - "A lot of people are feeling the burn around here," said volunteer Charles Denison.
Doors are open and signs are painted as volunteers pour into the new Mahoning/Trumbull County headquarters for Bernie Sanders in Niles, at 950 Youngstown Warren Road.
"From phone banking to canvassing doing art we've had an artist come down to do artwork," said Denison.
Within hours of opening their doors volunteers were already picking up the phone to call voters.
"Even if you get one vote out at least you're helping in that way," said volunteer Don Wolford.
"I actually talked to a 62-year-old retired teacher last night on the phone. She was actually thinking about going to the Republican party," said Denison. "I gave her some more information on Bernie and what he was standing for and by the end of the 30 minute conversation she switched to Bernie Sanders."
Nationally the Sanders campaign is facing an uphill battle in the polls, trailing nine points behind opponent Hillary Clinton as of late February.
Volunteers say the Ohio primaries could swing things around for Sanders.
Meantime the office will be up and running until it's time for Ohio to vote on March 15th.
