POLAND, Ohio - The operator of a Poland burger bar says steady sales growth and a loyal customer base are behind a decision to open two more Valley locations later this year.

Coaches Burger Bar plans to open new restaurants at 714 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman, as well as Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles in the Pinetree Plaza.

The new restaurants are under construction, with the Niles location expected to open in May and Boardman in June.

Like the current business on Springfield Road in Poland, the new restaurants will also feature "fast and casual" dining, offering delivery and takeout, says co-owners Patrick and Stacy Howlett. Both locations will offer lunchtime delivery.

"The increase in demand for carryout and delivery is one of the hottest things right now," Patrick Howlett says. "There will always be a place for a sit-down style restaurant, but the industry is all pushing toward fast and casual."

Menus at the new restaurants will feature burgers, sandwiches, french fries, cwings, salads and non-alcoholic beverages, including milkshakes.

Each new restaurant will seat up to 50, and will also create some new jobs.

"We employ 22 at our restaurant in Poland, and we're about to triple that with these new locations," Howlett says.

Coaches opened in Poland in July.
