GROVE CITY, Pa. - Grove City Police are charging a student who brought a martial arts weapon to school.

Police say they were called to Grove City High School on Thursday when it was reported that a student possessed a weapon on school property.

Officers say the male juvenile had a seven blade throwing star.

The student is being charged with possession of a weapon on school property.

Police did not reveal the name or age of the student.

According to the Grove City High School Student Handbook, possession of weapons will result in notification to the Grove City Borough Police, a three to ten day suspension and may result in a recommendation to the school board that the student be expelled from school.
