More than eight months after a missing Warren woman's remains are found in a fire pit in Ashtabula County, there still are more questions than answers surrounding her death.  Including who's responsible.

The man charged with abuse of a corpse in connection with the death of 18-year-old Alesha Bell of Warren was back in Ashtabula County Court for a pre-trial hearing on Monday.

But more than eight months after the young Warren woman's remains were found in a fire pit near James Brooks' Ashtabula County home, no one has been charged with her murder.

The 18-year-old woman had been reported missing, and investigators says Brooks later admitted to spending time with Alesha Bell in Warren on the day she was last seen.

Prosecutors in Ashtabula County would not say if Brooks could face more charges, but would only tell 21 News he will go to trial on drug charges, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence on June 6th.

The investigation into Bell's death is on-going.
