NILES, Ohio - For 60 years, the Cafaro Headquarters has been in Youngstown. Beginning Tuesday, 200 employees will move to new corporate headquarters at the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles.

Finishing touches are taking place outside and inside. There will be several entrances outside near the Residence Inn by Marriot, next to the Dillard's outside and directly from the Eastwood Mall concourse.

“Say you were staying in the hotel and you had a business meeting here, you just walk through the lobby, down a quarter and you're in here in the vent center. You could walk a different direction of the quarter and be in the Eastwood Mall to go shopping,” says Joe Bell, Director of Corporate Communications of the Cafaro Company.

Bell says art work will line the hall ways, showcasing the history of the Cafaro family in the Valley and their commitment to the region.

“How it developed from the beginning, some of the properties that developed, a complete listing of all those. There may be some other artistic presentations on the other wall depicting the history of the area,” added Bell.

There will be plenty of space for large venues, such as state conventions, large weddings and sit down dinners at the Eastwood Event Center.

The Eastwood Event Center should be available for booking by the beginning of January.

From the atrium, you can look up and see three floors. The third floor holds offices for senior executives of the company. An old conference room table, made in the sixties, was moved from the Youngstown facility.

The new facility is almost the same size as the former facility in Youngstown. The three floors in Niles take up almost 50,000 square feet. However, the new facility is much for efficient and functional.

“We were able to make sure we had all the technology in place we needed for teleconferencing, for scheduling rooms, you name it. Our IT people have been going crazy here fro the past few months, making sure every bit of wiring and every last device is put together just right. We're going to be using this for a very long time and we want it to be flexible and we want it to be adaptable,” says Bell.

Moving day is on Tuesday and a grand opening and open house is expected this summer.
