Bond set at $1 million for Warren man accused of killing girlfriend
A man arrested for the shooting death of his 22-year old girlfriend pleaded not guilty on Friday. Bond was set at $1 million for Shaun Simpson, 23, during his arraignment in Trumbull Common Pleas Court. Simpson is accused of shooting Becky Pyne on Nov. 12 at their shared home on South Leavitt Road. Police say Simpson then dropped Pyne off at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, leaving to check on their two month-old child.
WARREN, Ohio - A man arrested for the shooting death of his 22-year old girlfriend pleaded not guilty on Friday.
Bond was set at $1 million for Shaun Simpson, 23, during his arraignment in Trumbull Common Pleas Court.
Simpson is accused of shooting Becky Pyne on Nov. 12 at their shared home on South Leavitt Road.
Police say Simpson then dropped Pyne off at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, leaving to check on their two month-old child.
Pyne later died at the hospital.
Simpson faces several charges including murder with a firearm, murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.
His next hearing is set for Dec. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
