Village ponders future of aging Salineville dam
Salineville Village Council is considering what to do with the community's old Riley Run Dam that was built in the 1930's. The Mayor and village representatives heard a proposal to tear down the 80 foot dam. A grant would be needed to pay the estimated $308,000 price tag. It has been proposed that the village could give up about 17 acres of land around the dam, to pay for its part of the matching funds.
