YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown woman was arrested Wednesday evening after police and EMT's worked to revive her with Narcan outside of a Mahoning Avenue barber shop.
Police say the 34-year-old mother, Amanda Long of Youngstown, overdosed inside the bathroom of a barber shop where her children were getting haircuts.
Police say that the owner of the shop witnessed Long go to the restroom and come out stumbling.
She reportedly tripped over a sign on the sidewalk outside of the shop. She was assisted to a bench where she became unresponsive.
Police and ambulance showed up to the scene and she was revived by Narcan.
After searching Long's purse, police say they found small baggie containing white powder, a glass crack pipe, a scouring pad, small blue tablets, and a rolled up paper receipt.
After police told Long that she would be placed under arrest for child endangerment, she told them didn't care because she doesn't have custody of them anyway, according to the report.
After being treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Long was booked into the Mahoning County jail.
